Job Description:

Healthcare Executive Placements, Inc. (HCEPInc) is seeking an Interim Social Work Supervisor, for a W2 Contract position based in Oakland, California. 


Schedule: Full time, 5 8's schedule, 8am-4:30pm 

Assignment Duration: 13 Weeks with high likelihood of extending

Compensation: 

This position offers a hourly rate of $45 to $48 which equates to $1,800 to $1,920 per week (based on a 5-day workweek) 

Per Diems: Lodging: $145 per day and Meals & Incidentals: $92 per day

Per diems are paid daily, 7 days a week, totaling $1,659 per week
Auto Stipend: $25 per day
Stipend is paid daily, 7 days a week, totaling $175 per week
Total Weekly Compensation (Daily Rate + Per Diems + Stipend): Between $3,634 to $3,754 per week
Benefits: Paid sick leave, Paid holidays, Co-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance, Cafeteria plan access and 401(k) retirement plan.



Summary:


Plans, develops, implements, coordinates, directs, and evaluates social work programs, policies, and practices that support patients' psychosocial well-being and quality of life. In this leadership role, you ensure services are delivered in accordance with professional social work standards (e.g., NASW Code of Ethics) and federal/state regulations, and act as a liaison between the facility and community resources to enhance integrated care. You supervise and mentor social work staff and support a high-quality, patient-centered social services environment.


Essential Functions:


Administer, develop, implement, and evaluate social work programs and departmental policies.

Participate in performance improvement and assist with annual departmental planning.

Implement quality improvement processes and clinical record audits.

Supervise social work staff, social service designees, interns, and/or volunteers.

Hire, train, coach, counsel, and, when necessary, discipline team members.

Provide leadership and mentorship to ensure professional development and quality practice.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to oversee clinical social work service planning, psychosocial assessments, and interventions.

Assist in case management and coordination of services for individuals, families, and groups.

Provide advocacy, referral and resource identification to support patient needs.

Serve as a liaison with external agencies and community partners to coordinate services and resources.

Work with administration to support patient rights, safety, and psychosocial well-being.

Participate in staff meetings, in-services, and departmental committees.

Engage in research, data analysis, and documentation consistent with regulatory standards.


Qualifications:


3-5 years of medical social work in a hospital setting required. 1-2 years in a leadership role required.

MSW with 3+ years postmaster work experience in a medical setting required.


Preferred:


5+ years of medical social work in an inpatient hospital setting, working on med surg and complex discharges. 2+ years in a leadership role in medical social work. Experience working with Medical services in the community. 1+ years working in Alameda and Contra Costa County. Preferred LCSW (not required). Experience working in pediatrics.
