Healthcare Executive Placements, Inc. (HCEPInc) is seeking an Interim Clinical Nurse Manager, Heart-Brain-Vascular (HBV) for a W2 Contract position based in Wailuku, Maui, HI.

Schedule: Full time, 5 8's Days 
Assignment Duration: 13 Weeks with high likelihood of extending
Compensation: 
This position offers a daily rate of $750 to $775 which equates to $3,750 to $3,875 per week (based on a 5-day workweek)
Per Diems: Lodging: $110 per day and Meals & Incidentals: $68 per day
Per diems are paid daily, 7 days a week, totaling $1,246 per week
Total Weekly Compensation (Daily Rate + Per Diems): Between $4,996 to $5,121 per week
Benefits: Paid sick leave, Paid holidays, Co-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance, Cafeteria plan access and 401(k) retirement plan.
 
Summary:
Seeking an experienced and dynamic Interim Nurse Manager to lead the Heart-Brain-Vascular (HBV) unit, encompassing cardiac, vascular, and stroke care services. This role provides 24/7 nursing leadership and operational oversight to ensure the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based care aligned with organizational and regulatory standards. The Interim HBV Nurse Manager will drive clinical excellence, lead multidisciplinary teams, and translate strategic priorities into effective, day-to-day operational execution.
 
This position requires a strong clinical background in cardiovascular and stroke care, a proven track record of leadership, and the ability to foster collaboration across departments to meet performance, safety, and compliance goals.
 
Essential Functions:
Provide 24/7 leadership and accountability for nursing operations across unit, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care.
Oversee daily workflows, staffing, and care standards to optimize efficiency and clinical outcomes.
Translate strategic goals into operational plans; identify and address performance gaps to support department and organizational objectives.
Manage departmental resources, including budgeting, staffing, hiring, scheduling, performance evaluations, and ongoing staff competency development.
Ensure full compliance with the Nursing Practice Act, The Joint Commission (TJC) standards, and internal policies and procedures.
Prepare the unit for regulatory surveys and accreditation readiness through continuous quality improvement and adherence to best practices.
Collaborate with executive and clinical leadership across the medical center, participating in regional and national forums to align initiatives and share learnings.
Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement within the interdisciplinary team.
 
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) strongly preferred; equivalent clinical experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
Current Hawaii RN license required.
Minimum five (5) years of recent clinical experience in specialty area, including at least two (2) years in a leadership role.
