Civil Engineer 3 / Structural

Job Description:

Join AZAD as a Civil Engineer and provide structural engineering design for capital improvements for all structural aspects of a transmission system including transmission line towers and structures, substation structures including all equipment, bus and overhead cable supports, telecommunication towers and structures, and buildings for a regional utility organization. 

This is a 2 years plus consultant position with high probability of long term and ongoing continued employment. This position is hybrid with onsite 1 - 2 days weekly on site in Vancouver, Washington. The hourly pay rate range for this position (which includes a health and welfare fringe benefit of $4.57) is $42.42 - $60.57.   


The ideal candidate must possess the minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in structural engineering, civil engineering or a closely related engineering field is required.
10 years of practical engineering experience is required.
Must have knowledge of engineering concepts, principals, and practices applicable to components and facilities found on a regional transmission system.
3 years of experience in the following:
Designs using the current International Building Code (IBC) and American Society of Civil Engineers (ACSE) 7 and 10.
Industry-specific design codes such as IBC family of codes and industry designs standards such as American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC), National Design Specification (NDS), and American Concrete Institute (ACI).
Structural analysis software such as SAP2000, RISA, tnxTower, PLS-POLE, and other commercially available products.
Modern structural analysis techniques.
Proficient with standard Microsoft Office Suite products, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
