Electrical Engineer 1 / Substation Engineering

Job Description:

Join AZAD Technology Partners as an Electrical Engineer and provide electrical engineering services in HVAC, HVDC, power electronics, electromagnetic transient program (EMTP) studies, and insulation coordination for a regional enterprise electric utility environment. This work will include conducting engineering studies and analysis; electrical component and control system studies; real time staged system testing; and wide array of specialized technical support for assigned projects.

This is a 2 years plus consultant position with high probability of long term and ongoing continued employment. This position is based in Vancouver, WA and is hybrid with work performed onsite 1-2 days weekly. The hourly pay rate range for this position (which includes a health and welfare fringe benefit of $4.57) is $30.33 - $40.00 depending on related qualifications and experience, as well as composition of selected compensation package.  

The ideal candidate must possess the minimum qualifications:


Bachelor's degree in engineering (from an ABET* accredited school) is required.
Candidates 3 months from graduation will be considered. Proof of degree may be requested after graduation.  
Note: *ABET (Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology)
6 months of experience and knowledge of electrical engineering concepts, principals, and practices applicable to components and facilities found on a regional transmission system is required.
Basic knowledge of power system fundamentals.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite Software including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
