Operations Analyst / Strategy and Business Process

Job Description:

Join AZAD as an Operations Analyst and provide analysis, strategy and business process modeling for technology, security and compliance projects in support of a high availability and critical infrastructure control center environment for a regional electric utility.  
This individual will collaborate with technical Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) including (IT) Information Technology and (OT) Operations Technology and their internal customers to develop service and asset strategies; and, to provide input, recommendations and assistance with the development and implementation of business and operational strategies, processes, and guidelines.

This is a 2 years plus consultant position with high probability of long term and ongoing continued employment. This position is onsite in Vancouver, Washington and the hourly pay rate range for this position is $55.00 - $65.00 depending on related qualifications and experience, as well as composition of selected compensation package. 

The ideal candidate must possess the minimum qualifications:

Associate's Degree in Business Administration, Management, Accounting, Computer Science or a directly-related discipline is preferred.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Management, Organizational Development or a directly-related discipline is highly desired.
8 years of experience is required with an applicable Bachelor's degree. 
10 years of experience is required with an applicable Associate's degree. 
12 years of experience required without a degree. 
Experience should be consistent with the specific requirements of operations analysis and progressively more technical in nature. 
Technical interviewing skills required:
Possess functional/process interviewing skills in the business environment.
Possess ability to facilitate groups through process design and requirements gathering sessions.
Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Foundation Certification is required. 
Advanced skills with Microsoft Office Suite products, including Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and Outlook. 

Preferred: 


Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Foundation Certification. 

Experience in asset management.  

Prior work experience implementing Lean Office or Lean Manufacturing principles. 

Prior work experience and knowledge of industry frameworks (NIST, IAM, ISO) and Federal Regulatory Standards and Processes including Office of Management and Budget (OMB), Department of Energy (DOE), Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA), North America Reliability Cooperation - Critical Infrastructure Protection (NERC CIP) is highly desired.
