AZAD's Client is seeking an Electrical Department Manager / Project Manager (Construction) for full-time position Onsite in Buffalo, NY.
Schedule: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm. Monday - Friday
Compensation & Benefits: The annual compensation rate is between $140k - $160k. Benefits include Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance, paid vacation, paid sick days, and bonuses.

Essential Functions:
Electrical Department Manager based in Buffalo, New York. This position plays a critical role in overseeing multiple projects, ensuring successful execution, and leading project teams. This position is responsible for managing the estimating and project management for $25M+ of union electrical construction business within a larger overall division. This position is an integral part of our success and provides opportunities for future growth and advancement.
Responsibilities:
The Electrical Department Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing operations related to a wide range of ongoing multi-trade construction projects. This position will supervise senior project manager and estimator team members in project development and oversee company projects to make sure they are running as planned. The Electrical Department Manager will build customer, labor, employee, union, and other relationships, to communicate results during project milestones and manage critical path, personnel, quality, and safety issues professionally and proactively. Occasional travel to job sites for pre-bid and construction meetings as needed.
- Interface with clients and contractors during pre and post-tender applications to develop effective business relationships.
- Work independently and supervise others to interpret customer bid requirements to assemble detailed and complete labor, material, equipment, and expense summaries for review and closing.
- Manage professional, administrative and direct labor work and performance.
- Conduct and review cost analysis at the completion of the project.
- Ensure quality construction standards are followed.
- Monitor and lead compliance with building and safety regulations.
- Manage and mitigate risks.
- Comply with the State Group's standards and operating procedures, including those pertaining to ISO9001:2015.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 10+ years of construction project management and/or estimating experience with experience supervising others.
- Experience leading heavy industrial projects.
- Intermediate MS Office skills, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Prefer experience in managing a variety of project sizes ranging from service and maintenance to large multi-disciplined turnkey projects.
- Time management skills, the ability to prioritize and execute multiple tasks effectively with a proven track record of success in a busy, deadline-oriented environment.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- .Identify and quantify potential cost uncertainties to ensure costing models capture the full range of potential costs.
