Job Description:
Schedule: 3 12's, Day shift
Assignment Duration: 13 Weeks
Compensation:
This position offers an hourly rate of $37 to $41 which equates to $1,332 to $1,475 per week (based on a 5-day workweek)
Per Diems: Lodging: $191 per day and Meals & Incidentals: $86 per day
Per diems are paid daily, 7 days a week, totaling $1,939 per week
Total Weekly Compensation (Daily Rate + Per Diems): Between $3,271 to $3,414 per week

Summary:
Delivers specialized, compassionate care to adult oncology patients in a fast-paced inpatient setting. Will be responsible for comprehensive patient assessments, developing individualized care plans, administering chemotherapy and supportive treatments, and collaborating closely with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
A strong emphasis is placed on patient education, symptom management, and emotional support throughout the continuum of cancer care. The ideal candidate demonstrates clinical excellence in oncology, exceptional critical thinking skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality, culturally sensitive care within Kaiser Permanente's integrated model.
Essential Functions:
Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care tailored to oncology patients.
Coordinate multidisciplinary care and patient/family education.
Ensure documentation aligns with current assessment data, patient acuity, and cultural considerations.
Act as a clinical leader, applying the nursing process to deliver high-quality oncology care.
Qualifications:
California RN licensure required.
ONS Oncology Certification required.
Minimum 1–2 years of oncology nursing experience required.
BLS certification from the American Heart Association required.
