Healthcare Executive Placements, Inc. (HCEPInc) is seeking a Locum Obstetrics & Gynecology (OB/GYN) Physician for a contract assignment based in Topeka, Kansas.
Schedule: Full-Time (may be covered by one or two providers)

Weekly compensation: Between $8,753 – $9,153 (all-in), with flexibility in how the package is structured based on candidate needs. Compensation may include a combination of taxable wages, per diems (if eligible), and reimbursements.

Summary:
HCEPInc is seeking a Locum OB/GYN Physician to join an established women's health program in Topeka, Kansas. This opportunity is available due to a provider resignation and offers a balanced mix of outpatient clinic, inpatient care, surgical procedures, and shared call coverage within a collaborative practice environment.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing a full spectrum of general OB/GYN services and working alongside experienced clinical support staff.
Essential Functions:
Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care in both outpatient clinic and inpatient settings.
Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients across the full spectrum of women's health services.
Perform general OB/GYN procedures, including D&C, laparoscopy, cesarean sections, and other routine gynecologic surgeries.
Provide labor and delivery coverage, inpatient rounding, consultations, and postoperative care.
Document patient encounters accurately and timely within Epic EMR.
Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing staff, and ancillary departments to deliver high-quality patient care.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with facility policies and standards.

Schedule & Call:
Full-time coverage (may be staffed by one or two providers).
Approximately 2–3 clinic days per week.
Remaining schedule includes call coverage and post-call responsibilities.
Post-call days may include clinic responsibilities or operating room time during the morning.
Shared 1:6 call rotation.
Call Responsibilities include:
Emergency Department coverage
Gynecologic surgery
Labor & Delivery
OB triage
Inpatient consultations
Transfers for high-risk obstetrical care
Clinic calls are initially screened through Health Connections.
Patient Volume:
Clinic: Approximately 25–30 patients per day.
Support Staff:
Dedicated scheduling nurse.
Medical Assistant for patient rooming.
Additional clinical support available within the care pod as needed.
Qualifications:
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology required.
Experience performing general OB/GYN procedures required.
Current ACLS certification required.
Current BLS certification required.
Current PALS certification required.
Current ATLS certification required.
Active DEA registration required.
Strong communication, collaboration, and patient care skills required.
